So what is vision and is it really that important?
Think of vision as a picture you paint of the future. The best visions bring clarity and help give direction by providing a sufficient level of detail. That picture should motivate and excite those you are leading into the future.
How is vision different from strategy?
Think of strategy as the roadmap to achieve your vision. It’s the “how”.
These two pieces of information give your team and partners a ton of clarity and help you go faster. A lack of clarity around your vision can slow you down or even confuse your team.
You cannot develop a strategy without a vision.
